The role will be based in Adelaide with regular site visits to any of our regional project sites.
You will be joining a professional team reporting to the HSEQ Manager and duties will include:Work closely with the Maritime Constructions management team, to achieve HSEQ metrics and outcomesCoordinating health and safety programs and operations on site to drive a strong safety cultureConducting task observations and workplace inspections/audits for operational and project activitiesCoordinating external audits from applicable certification bodiesTraining and mentoring of Project team members regarding HSEQ processes, procedures and use of tools to ensure compliance (SkyTrust)Conducting investigations and close out of incidents, near misses and hazardsConducting Verification of Competency training to evaluate employees' ability to operate equipment and perform tasksConducting drug and alcohol on site testingSupporting injury management processes and QHS management systems to ensure that the systems are complied with.About you:The ability to work autonomously while being a team player will be the key to your success in this role.
You also have excellent knowledge of legislation, guidelines and construction industry best practices that you apply with commonsense and keep your team well informed.
In addition to this, you have:Available for away workMinimum Cert 4 in Work Health & SafetyRelevant experience in constructions (marine is preferred) or heavy industryCurrent Class C Drivers LicenceInternal and External Audit experienceAbility to work autonomously, or as part of a teamHLTFA301B - Apply Basic First Aid, HLTFA201A - Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, HLTCPR201A -Perform CPRCurrent qualifications in Incident Cause Analysis Measures (ICAM) or equivalent is desirableProficient computing skills including Word, Excel and PowerpointDisplay integrity, respect and enthusiasmDisplay judgement and behaviour that is in line with company valuesHigh level of oral and written communication skillsApplications:If you feel you meet the above criteria, please apply by sending a letter addressing the above criteria and current CV with minimum 2 business referees.
