The Position - HSE Manager
Our client is seeking an HSE Manager to bring passion, energy, and a proactive approach to their safety team.
This role is essential in supporting the site through its transition, with a strong focus on leadership, on-site presence, and engagement.
Reporting to the Head of HSE, who oversees the safety function within Supply Chain and Operations, the HSE Manager will lead a team of two, providing guidance and support to safety personnel, while working closely with contractors and environmental specialists on site.
Key Elements Provide leadership and mentorship to the safety team, fostering a proactive safety culture.Oversee HSE operations at a key production site, driving continuous improvement initiatives across safety practices.Maintain a visible presence on site, engaging directly with contractors and addressing environmental challenges.Support the development of safety strategies and long-term planning, aligning with broader company goals and the needs of the site.Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for key initiatives.Flexibility for a DIDO (Drive-In, Drive-Out) arrangement, ideally with 3 days per week on-site presence, with the option for a full relocation for the right candidate.Role Highlights Leadership Role: Play a pivotal part in shaping the safety culture during a period of significant change, leading a team of two.On-the-Ground Impact: Be actively involved in day-to-day site activities, providing a hands-on approach that goes beyond desk work.Strategic and Supportive Environment: Work closely with the Head of HSE to build a collaborative culture between supply chain, operations, and safety.Beautiful Location: The site is based in a stunning regional area, offering a great lifestyle for those open to relocation.Supportive Culture: Join a team that values passion, energy, and a positive approach over rigid compliance methods.Location & Remuneration Location: Based at a key production site, with flexibility for a DIDO arrangement.
