Support the Yurika HSE Manager through active input and coordination of the Learning and Assurance Program.Responsibilities:Lead, facilitate, implement and deliver activities within Yurika's Learning and Assurance framework; Supporting a learning and improvement culture through identification and effective communication of gaps, business risks and opportunities, and establishing appropriate strategies and actions to continually improve systems, processes and practices.Deliver professional reports for Senior, Executive and line management that meet the requirements of the relevant framework with coherent, and realistic improvement opportunities that will drive continuous improvement of the HSE System, and improve HSE risk for the organisation and improve operational performance.Provide coaching and mentoring (both in field and office environments) to relevant stakeholders and teams involved in learning and assurance activities; gaining a lens to how work systems are operating and using this knowledge to improve operational performance through interactions and the delivery of the learning and assurance program. Coaching and mentoring shall support customers to improve HSE performance.Build and maintain professional customer focused relationships with stakeholders including being a key point of contact for the business to provide expert advice and recommendations for learning and assurance activities.Facilitating and managing the induction process.Providing HSE support for the development and implementation of HSE initiatives.The delivery of HSE investigations in accordance with Incident Management Frameworks and maintenance of skills through active practice of leading incident investigations.Assisting the coordination and improvement of the Learning and Assurance Framework and Program through active input with the Learning and Assurance Manager and wider team.Deliver generalist HSE support within the assigned regional location.Collaborate effectively managing information and confidentiality requirements across Energy Queensland Limited in accordance with applicable ring-fencing parameters.Demonstrate a personal commitment to health, safety and environment and support a diverse and inclusive workplace.Comply with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and practices.Knowledge, Skills and Ability:Demonstrated knowledge and expert skill to lead, coach, facilitate and conduct operational learning activities both in field and office environments using facilitation skills and coaching and mentoring techniques to learn and evaluate how work systems are operating, assisting in improving both system and process design for end users and drive improvement of behaviours.Demonstrated skill in leading and conducting audit and assurance activities, which create continuous improvement and ensure compliance to the requirements of identified obligations and standards. High level of analysis skills and interpretive capabilities to identify findings and learnings and recommend corrective and improvement actions.Demonstrated understanding of risk management and process improvement methodologies and linkages with learning and assurance frameworks.Leadership and team work skills, including leading improved safety performance in teams both in field and office environments, managing conflicting priorities, strong problem solving skills, managing work flow to deliver outcomes that meet deadlines, while exercising professional judgement in a constructive manner.High level communication and negotiation skills to effectively build and sustain positive relationships with key stakeholders and team members. Well-developed verbal and interpersonal skills including the demonstrated ability to negotiate, mediate, persuade and resolve conflict. These skills shall complement high level written communication and report writing skills.Experience in the application and use of investigation methodologies (e.g. ICAM), supported by analytical skills and interpretative capabilities to identify incident cause and contributing factors and make linkages to form recommendations to drive continual improvement.Essential experience required:Degree in Health, Safety, Environment or related discipline and/or equivalent demonstrated experience.Lead Auditor qualification, such as AS/NZS 4801/ISO 45001, ISO14001.Demonstrated experience in leading professionals in Health, Safety and Environmental related field to deliver activities (e.g. learning and investigation or audit activities).Additionally, this role has a requirement to travel interstate frequently and at short notice in order to lead and facilitate incident investigations and evaluate/audit safe works system, where applicable.
