Townsville, QLD Join an award-winning Tourism and Transport company Drive HSE Strategy and Improvement ASX200 global company About the Role The HSE Coordinator plays a crucial role within the SeaLink NQLD leadership team, by promoting health, safety, and environmental strategies and initiatives.
Working closely with the leadership team, employees and other key stakeholders, their expertise and dedication to maintaining a healthy and safe workplace will contribute to the overall success of the business.
Reporting to the General Manager, the HSE Coordinator will be responsible for implementing health, safety, and environment risk management processes, and ensuring compliance through internal audits, monitoring, and the implementation of various legislative requirements.
What we are looking for: A confident, experienced, organized and results driven HSE professional, with excellent communication skills both in written form and verbally.
Highly motivated and driven individual to drive change and continuous improvement initiatives whilst fully engaging with our workforce.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
Certificate IV or higher in work health and safety.
Trained in conducting ICAM Incident Investigations.
Knowledge of WHS, Environmental, and Marine legislation and ability to interpret applicable legislation.
Key responsibilities: Maintain and continually improve HSE and Vessel Safety Management Systems.
Promote a safe working environment and coordination of risk management processes.
Continually improve employee and management education and awareness.
Monitor HSE training needs and the completion of marine training and emergency preparedness drills.
Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant requirements and amend systems accordingly.
Conduct effective incident investigations to determine contributing factors and root causes.
Monitor the completion and effectiveness review of actions.
Conduct regular site visits, inspections, risk assessments and audits.
Drive, monitor, report and continually improve HSE performance.
Manage the return-to-work process for injured employees.
