L&F Transfers are seeking an experienced HSE & Compliance Coordinator to join our team based from our Head Office in Yeppoon, Queensland for an immediate start.
In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's operations comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
To succeed in this role, it is imperative you are a qualified and experienced Safety Professional who takes pride in facilitating a collaborative environment.

You will be a solid and effective communicator with the ability to work under pressure in a team environment and have the ability to lead and influence others.
Travelling between Depots on a regular basis is a necessity.What you'll be doing Ensure the accreditation and maintenance of the Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems (within the Integrated Business Management System) for the company in accordance with AS/NZS 4801/ ISO 14001/ ISO 9001 (ISO ).Report on the performance of the Integrated Management System to senior management for review and as a basis for improvement of the system.Review new or recommended changes to specified controlled documents within the Integrated Management System, as they relate to safety management, before they are approved.Provide guidance to staff in undertaking their defined responsibilities as they relate to safety management.Promote WHS, quality, and environmental practices throughout all L&F Group Australia activities.Devise, develop, and monitor effective risk management strategies and make recommendations on the implementation of these strategies.Provide advice and technical information to senior managers and all line managers to enable the L&F Group Australia to discharge its statutory, common, and moral obligations, keeping staff and Managers abreast of changes in WHS, Quality, and Environmental Legislation and Codes of Practice.Propose, implement, and monitor measures necessary to comply with WHS Legislation and Codes of Practice; ensure that statutory requirements are being upheld throughout the organisation.Promote and coordinate the integration of environmental management and sustainability issues into policies, rules, products, services, and operations.Develop procedures to ensure that contractors, suppliers, consultants, and other visitors to L&F Group Australia comply with relevant legislation and L&F Group Australia policies.Meet and cooperate with visiting WHS, quality, and environmental officers as required.Investigate or arrange for all accidents and near-misses to be investigated, prepare reports of findings, including recommendations to prevent recurrence, and implement approved courses of action.
Where necessary, prepare reports to the regulatory authority and senior management team as required by the reporting of injuries, diseases, and dangerous occurrences regulations.Provide support and be a catalyst for activity and commitment to reducing L&F Group Australia's impact on the environment, and promoting environmental best practice in energy use, waste reduction, and sustainable development.What we're looking for Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar HSE coordinator or compliance role, ideally within the transportation industry.Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation, environmental regulations, and compliance requirements.Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.Proactive, organised, and able to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Proficient in using HSE management software and data analysis tools.Experience in implementing WHS management systems and programs at the site level is also imperative for this role, coupled with a formal qualification in OH&S and/or equivalent.What we offer Supportive and collaborative team environment.Flexible work arrangements and work-life balance initiatives.Apply now for this exciting opportunity!
