We take pride in our focus on safety, while driving a strong people-focused culture to make transformations toward a sustainable and smart future.About the roleReporting to the General Manager – Infrastructure Services, the purpose of this role is to manage Verbrec Infrastructure Service's Operations risk profile and compliance whilst ensuring a high-level safety culture and environmental awareness. The role will ensure a risk management approach is adopted and that environmental and safety plans and programs are compliant with standards, acts, regulations, and policies relevant to the operation and maintenance of high-pressure gas pipelines and their facilities. In this role, you will:Provide leadership in the development of a safe work culture.Develop safety systems to support a safe and compliant culture.Provide expert input and advice on safety and health matters related to the operation and maintenance of pipelines.Provide direction and guidance on safe work practices and systems.Develop and conduct training in Verbrec's Health and Safety processes.Be the management representative for the safety management system certification requirements.Development and implementation of emergency response processes, training, and documentation.Conduct audits to monitor HSEQ performance.Lead incident investigations and reporting.About youTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:Certificate IV in OHS and/or Environment (mandatory minimum).TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).Sound knowledge of pipeline regulation.High level of knowledge of health & safety and environmental legislation and practices.Sound understanding of environmental and safety issues related to pipelines and corporate governance.Experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders at a high level.Desire to do things more efficiently, more simply, and more cost effectively.The new Verbrec brand represents our evolution and continued growth by leveraging emerging techniques and technologies for the benefit of our clients.
