Our People & Culture Manager will be responsible for the smooth execution of all people related HR operations in Zai. This role is the point of contact for all team members and managers in HR operations. You will report to our CFO and work closely with our Finance, Legal and Compliance teams to ensure people related matters are handled in the right way.Responsibilities:Manage all People related administrative tasks to ensure they are completed efficiently (i.e., payroll, benefits administration, employment contracts, work permits, HR system, reporting).Support managers in employee relations cases including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy.Support managers on performance management issues and processes.Support managers on development for managers and their teams.Execute all aspects of the recruitment process from interview shortlisting and offer and contract issuance.Understand and help manage the people-related risk profile including operational and reputational risk.Keep updated on employment practices and legal changes and updating policies.Ensure mandatory training is completed in the business by all relevant employees.Carry out new starter inductions (where applicable) from a HR perspective.Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the commercial goals of the organisation.Support change management processes.To be successful in this role you will have:Subject matter knowledge and experience:Academic or Professional Education/Qualifications within HR (CIPD).Languages: English (a 2nd language would be desirable).Practical hands-on HR generalist or HR Operations experience within financial services or Tech/SaaS employer.Skills and characteristics:Organisational and communication skills are required together with solid knowledge of employment legislation and its application.Should be a proactive self-starter with strong customer service and problem-solving skills.An ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy is crucial.
