Our Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an autonomous, self-motivated HR professional to be part of a global organisation while making connections to the local community. Based at our Launceston factory, the HR role will add value to the Lactalis business through the provision of proactive and customer-focused HR services.
Reporting to the Site Manager and functionally supported by the Head of HR, you will partner with, and be a key member of the Site leadership team and national HR team with centres of expertise. You will be responsible for building relationships at all levels and providing hands-on HR assistance and guidance, including getting on to the floor to drive engagement on the factory floor (get your lovely hair net on!).

Responsibilities for this role also include: Driving leadership development among senior and front line leaders, to deliver the right tools for the future. Driving initiatives to improve employee retention and development, through both local and national programs. By utilizing a 'hands-on', interactive approach, provide effective HR/IR services as required to all operational employees. Coach line managers in relation to performance management issues & development plans. Manage and coordinate all recruitment (end to end) with central support from CoE. Future proofing our site, through managing relationships with unions and external parties (audits). Coach line managers in practices to engage and align employees. HR Generalist support. To ensure your success in this role you will have solid HR experience demonstrating leadership, conflict resolution, influential presentation and negotiation skills.
