HR Manager / Human Resources Leader - Manufacturing & Logistics! Newly created permanent HR Manager position within a premium business! A premium manufacturing and logistics business based in Sydney, NSW , is expanding its core functions and seeking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to join this thriving company on a permanent, full-time basis .
With significant growth and strategic corporate transformation underway, the HR Manager will play a critical role in implementing and driving HR policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives within the organisation. Reporting to the CEO, this pivotal role will work in partnership with the leadership team and broader workforce, from frontline manufacturing and logistics staff to the corporate team, to shape human resources and ensure a highly engaged, adaptable workforce that drives productivity and efficiency.
As a key HR leader, this position will assist in building foundational HR frameworks that define the business. Responsibilities include conducting an initial gap analysis, establishing procedures, governance, compliance, talent management and recruitment strategies, and managing employee relations, including grievances, to foster a supportive and inclusive work environment for all staff.
Core Responsibilities: Introduce and establish HR operations, job and skills assessments, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management, including an initial assessment and gap analysis for the business. Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals, driving employee engagement and organisational growth. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations while fostering a positive workplace culture. Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to identify and address workforce needs, including talent acquisition and retention. Manage HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and effectively communicated across the organisation. Lead initiatives focused on employee development, training, and succession planning. Skills and Experience for Optimal Success and Performance: Minimum of 5 years' experience as an HR Manager / People & Culture Leader, preferably within the manufacturing, logistics, or related industries. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment legislation. Excellent recruitment expertise, coupled with the ability to engage effectively. Superb stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with leadership teams and staff at all levels. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects to drive continuous improvement.
