The Opportunity
As part of the People team within the People & Marketing division of La Trobe Financial, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the day to day function of the People and Facilities teams. This Senior Executive position will work closely with the Chief People Officer to execute the strategic direction of the People division in alignment with the firm's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Working with Business Divisions to drive long-term workforce planning, focusing on succession planning, career development and talent acquisition to ensure the firm has the right capabilities to support growth and success;
Lead and manage the compliance within employment laws and regulations, maintaining best practice across all People policies and procedures and safeguarding the firm's reputation;
Contribute to the development and execution of the annual people strategy in close collaboration with the CPO, ensuring alignment with long-term goals and objectives of the firm;
Lead and manage the People team, providing guidance, mentorship and performance oversight to ensure the team delivers high quality People services across all functions;
Lead and manage the Facilities team to provide optimal services across the Melbourne and Sydney offices;
Oversee employee relations, work health and safety and recruitment processes, ensuring all are compliant and aligned to the firm's values;
Manage the People and Facilities budget adhering to monthly spend;
Leading a High-Performance culture with a pragmatic approach to the People Function.
About You
Tertiary Qualification in HR or related discipline
Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role
Financial services industry experience is preferred.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficient excel and report writing skills a minimum
Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work confidently with people at all levels within the business.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Pragmatic approach to Human Resources.
