Hr Business Partner

Details of the offer

About the opportunity:
We are searching for a mid-level HR Business Partner to join our small, yet dynamic team on a temporary 6-month maternity leave cover commencing November 2024.
The successful candidate will join our passionate P&C team to support all people-related matters for approximately 200 staff.
With a globally distributed workforce, this is a varied and true generalist-HR role, providing advice and guidance to managers across all aspects of the strategic and operational employment lifecycle. This includes management coaching, recruitment, preboarding, offboarding, learning and development, performance motivation and employment regulations.
Our current P&C team are predominantly based in Sydney, Melbourne and Coffs Harbour. Our preference is for the successful candidate to be Sydney-based; however, we welcome candidates across Australia to apply. We have adopted a flexible work approach, where a mix of work from home and offices is available to you.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday; however, we are also open to considering part-time options with a minimum of 4 working days per week.
Due to the team's collaborative, close-knit culture, the successful candidate will have access to plenty of support and a detailed handover to ensure their seamless transition into the role.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Act as a primary advisor to relevant stakeholders on the interpretation and application of applicable employment laws and regulations.
Support management on all employment-related issues including grievances, disciplinary issues, and redundancies.
Develop and review HR policies and procedures to ensure they reinforce the Janison culture and, where necessary, provide advice to employees on such policies and procedures.
Provide advice and assist with the implementation and execution of structural changes to the business.
Oversee and support our recruitment strategy and initiatives including back-end support to hiring managers.
Remuneration management including meeting minimum obligations according to relevant legislation, fair and market competitive salaries according to annual remuneration data analysis.
Coordinate and support the performance management cycle and provide support and advice to managers.
Oversee compliance including completion of mandatory training, checks, and certifications as required.
Manage our L&D offering including managing budgets, partnerships with external training organisations, and system support on our internal LMS.
Interact with outsourced payroll teams as needed.
Assist with ad hoc P&C initiatives as needed.

About You:
The ideal candidate will have:

Skills and experience in doing things differently. We take a fit-for-purpose, rather than a cookie-cutter approach to our people.
ER background with a strong knowledge across Australian employment laws and regulations.
Intermediate ability with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS/payroll (Employment Hero), Learning Management, and Recruitment Software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently connect and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Coaching and development of stakeholder experience.
A hunger to contribute to and enhance the Janison culture.
A 'can-do', results and team-focused attitude.

Why Janison?
