About the role Reporting to the National HR Manager, InfraBuild Manufacturing, we currently have an opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join our team based in Newcastle. As the successful candidate, you will deliver on the HR Business plan and interact regularly with the local business leadership team and the broader HR community.
You will be required to:
Foster strong relationships and deliver HR support and advise across the business;
Provide operational HR support and guidance to leaders and employees;
Provide support and answer queries from the business related to HR policies;
Support managers and the recruitment team to recruit, retain & onboard talent within the Infrabuild guidelines and DOA.
Coordinate and manage the resolution of workplace issues, ensuring appropriate consultation and communication with appropriate parties
Build and foster positive working relationships with unions
Participate in Consultative meetings & Enterprise agreement negotiations
Provide support and participate in projects and HR business deliverables.
Provide advice on Enterprise Agreement contents.
Create and deliver monthly reporting packages for Leadership team.
Participate in and provide guidance around performance management issues.
Support the business with their L&D requirements
Provide support and guidance with Workforce Planning
Interact with broader HR team as required.
Assist with maintaining employee records.
Ideally, a tertiary qualification in HRM or relevant with a minimum 5 years of experience gained as a HR Generalist and Industrial Relations experience. You are resilient, a self-starter and a result orientated individual.
Exposure to a blue-collar environment (essential)
Experience interpreting Enterprise Agreements (essential)
Manufacturing or similar heavy industry exposure would be advantageous
HR experience in a unionised environment (essential)
Effective change management skills and a 'hands on' practical approach to HR
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and work with a variety of stakeholders.
Solid communication (written & oral) skills & Computer literate, MS Office skills
