Statewide Talent Pool - HR Advisor, Business Partner Department Communities and Justice Location: Various locations throughout NSW

Employment type: Talent Pool Creation – Ongoing and Temporary opportunities available

Salary: Clerk 7/8, $106,024 to $117,363 plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Do you have a knack for navigating complex HR landscapes and driving impactful change?
If so, the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) is looking to create a Talent Pool of talented HR professionals to fill temporary and ongoing in our team!

Your role As a HR Advisor, Business Partnering, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR advice and support to managers at all levels, in various business units across various agencies within DCJ, including Corrective Services NSW, Courts, Tribunals and Service Delivery (CTSD), Law Reform and Legal Services (LRLS), Homes NSW, Child Protection and Permanency, and/or Corporate Services.

Role You will help to drive HR best practices, managing HR issues and HR initiatives that align with our strategic objectives.
Some of the key focus areas for this role will be:

Providing generalist advice around HR policies to promote compliance and best HR practice.Contribute to and support with change management initiatives.Contribute to and support with diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism initiatives.Resolution of workplace issues (grievances).Performance development, and management of underperformance and unsatisfactory performance.Contributing to improving workplace culture.Support the implementation of the Annual Performance Management Program.Contribute to and support with organisational and role design.Case management. Our roles are flexible with hybrid working possible.
Travel throughout the Sydney Metro Region and/or across NSW may be required to provide onsite advice and support to our clients.

What We're Looking For In addition to meeting the essential requirements outlined in the role description, we are looking for someone with:

Qualifications in HR or a related discipline, and/or equivalent experience.HR or relevant experience, preferably within the public sector or large, complex organisations.Stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to develop strong partnering relationships with all levels of management to influence, coach and become a trusted advisor.Change management experience and/or a willingness to learn about organisational design.Experience providing advice, coaching, and support to management and clients.A people-centric approach to case management.Effective communication with the ability to present on a range of HR topics to promote and support workforce strategies.A collaborative style who can work with a range of stakeholders from different areas of the organisation to provide sound holistic advice.An understanding of legislative requirements and employee and industrial relations and/or a willingness to develop legislative knowledge quickly.HR systems experience, with the ability to research and analyse information to make recommendations.A high level of resilience, motivation, and perseverance.
