This role is perfect for a hands-on HR professional ready to manage all elements of human resources in a company.
In this role, you'll be the go-to person for all things HR, from addressing staff queries and confirming payroll, to assisting with recruitment and ensuring the safety compliance. You'll work closely with both ground staff, the management team and at time with clients, making sure HR practices align with operational needs in this creative industry.

Role OverviewAs an HR Advisor at Paradigm Design Studio Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business's human resource needs. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and talent development. This role offers the opportunity to shape and grow the HR function in a fast-paced, creative company.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to interviewing and onboarding new team members.
Performance Management: Implement and maintain performance review systems, providing regular feedback and support for employee development.
Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, and resolving employee concerns.
HR Policy Development: Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and company culture.
Training & Development: Identify training needs and organize programs that support employee growth, including skill development for designers and project managers.
Compensation & Benefits: Manage and process payroll, benefits administration, and ensuring compensation structures are competitive and equitable.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure that the company complies with local employment laws and health and safety regulations, especially in office and on-site project environments.
Workforce Planning: Work closely with management to assess workforce needs and plan for future growth, including managing freelancers or temporary staff.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications: Relevant Bachelor's degree or above
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in an HR advisory role, preferably in payroll management in growing industry.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, contract employment and HR compliance.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and manage sensitive situations.
Initiative: Proactive and able to work independently, with a strong sense of ownership over HR tasks and responsibilities.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a small, growing company where responsibilities may shift as the business evolves.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient with HR software and tools; experience with payroll and performance management systems is a plus.
