Specializing in remote and regional work, we have a strong track record of successfully delivering projects in some of the country's most challenging environments.In addition to our construction services, we manage tenancy contracts in the West Arnhem and Tiwi regions of the Northern Territory. Our Tenancy Management team plays a key role in supporting Territory Housing, conducting tenancy inspections, assisting with tenancy agreements, and helping community members navigate housing policies and processes. Through regular visits and open communication, we offer critical support and guidance to tenants, ensuring they feel informed, empowered, and heard.What we offer:Contract position with an attractive remuneration for the right candidate. Intract offers weekly pay, access to a range of employee benefits, professional development opportunities, training, and career growth.About the role:The Housing Support Officer plays a crucial role in mentoring and supporting our Community Housing Officers (CHOs), who are local Indigenous people living and working in their own communities. The Housing Support Officer ensures that CHOs receive regular onsite training and guidance, helping them navigate all aspects of their roles effectively. This support not only strengthens the team but also empowers the CHOs to better serve their communities, fostering positive and sustainable housing outcomes.This role is a full-time contract opportunity based in Darwin, with travel to remote communities weekly.Responsibilities:Assisting CHOs with filling out forms and completing documentsBuilding CHO confidence through mentoring and support during daily dutiesTraining on internal systems & processes such as timesheets, SharePoint, Tenancy Management System (TMS), vehicle checksTroubleshooting IT issues and assisting with basic IT supportAccurately recording internal data/information on a variety of platforms; Excel, TMS, SharePointEnsuring regular communication with stakeholders including NT GovOther ad hoc duties as requiredOther duties include:Attending staff training and meetings as requiredTraveling to remote Aboriginal communities as per travel scheduleProviding cover to sites when CHOs are on leaveParticipating in six-monthly and ongoing performance reviews and professional development planningOther administration as directed by your managerAbout you:To be successful in the role, you will need:Experience living or working in Aboriginal CommunitiesValid Ochre Card prior to commencementAbility to travel via light aircraftAbility to pass a police check (some history may not affect employment opportunities)Must be willing to undergo pre-employment medicalAs one of the largest private-sector employers of Indigenous personnel, we are deeply committed to providing real, lasting outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia.
