The Opportunity An opportunity exists for an Administration Officer at our Darwin site. The position is 12-month contract with the possibility to extend for the right candidate. The Administration Officer acts as the first point of contact for employees and clients and provides administrative, transactional, and general support to the Administration and Production Team.
What's involved Develop and maintain accurate systems and registers as required. Provide a level of administration support that fosters an environment of efficiency, accuracy and order of priority, including assisting team members with tasks to achieve team goals. Be the first point of contact for department employees and clients. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, plans and reports in line with Austal's quality standards and project requirements Support colleagues to deliver the team / department goals. You'll need Essential Relevant experience working in an administrative/ project support role Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact and communicate positively and professionally, both verbally and written Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines whilst managing multiple tasks/projects High attention to detail and accuracy. Proven high quality output Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team Knowledge of Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable processes Desirable Knowledge of Project management, processes and planning Minimum Certificate 2 in Business Administration Why Austal Competitive compensation and benefits package.
