See more at our website -?www.atsichsbrisbane.org.au About the Role The Housing and Wellbeing Specialist will work with individuals and families in partnership to empower and build their agency to make effective changes and overcome their identified housing and well-being needs.
The role is heavily outreach-based, engaging individuals and families in crisis accommodation, street outreach, and refuges, and translating initial engagement into a strong ongoing partnership.
Duties Improving stable housing and family/individual ability to maintain a tenancy, budget, and advocate.
Build the parenting capability, skills, and knowledge that promote flourishing child rearing.
Facilitate embedding structured family routines that improve household management, healthy eating, and quality family time.
Improving parental management of stress and personal well-being, including coordinating access to ATSICHS Mental Health Service (Social Health Team).
Ensuring all children meet developmental milestones by facilitating family access to ATSICHS pediatric/Mums and Bubs medical services, including access to specialist allied health supports.
Improving the financial health of families by achieving meaningful employment and/or training.
Improving school attendance and educational engagement of parents.
Enrolment in Kindergarten and family participation in early years playgroups.
Securing family safety.
Reducing AOD substance misuse.
Improving family health by coordinating to ATSICHS medical clinics for annual preventative health assessment.
Improving family dental care by coordinating to ATSICHS dental clinics for annual preventative dental check-up.

Starting annual salary of $94,000 (depending on qualifications and experience).
11.5 % Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay).

Required Current Bachelor's Degree, in Social Work, Human Services, Social Science, Health, Allied Health, Youth Work, Community Services, Family Intervention or Criminology with 2 years' relevant experience in social services field OR Current Diploma in Community Services, Social Work, Human Services, Child and Family, Allied Health, Youth Work, Child and Family Intervention with 3 years' relevant experience in social service field AND With at least 1 year of abovementioned experience in a housing case management role.
Demonstrated ability and comfortableness working in a performance driven environment to meet individual weekly, monthly and quarterly performance targets.
Demonstrated ability to build client agency, self-efficacy and facilitate change through client empowerment, while actively discouraging client dependence on supports.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to provide behaviour change interventions that build client self-awareness and active change in achieving their identified goals.
Demonstrated ability to work with the whole-of-family, irrespective of primary client, in meeting the totality of family needs.
Demonstrated ability in coordinating multiple services in providing access to holistic care for clients, particularly integrating internal agency supports across multiple teams.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the factors contributing to vulnerability, disengagement, and intergenerational trauma of client group.
Experience with case management for high risk and/or crisis clients, with high-level planning and organisational skills.
Knowledge of the supports available to target clients in the areas of mental health, substance misuse, education, employment and housing.
Additional Requirements Current drivers licence.
Requirement to travel across the Logan and/or Brisbane region, as per program location.
Flexibility to work outside 8:30am-5pm business hours in meeting individual client needs and provide responsive care.
Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
