As a Housekeeping Manager, you will assist the Director and Assistant Director of Housekeeping in overseeing the Housekeeping Operations to maintain the grandeur of the resort. Your organization and attention to detail will help ensure all guestrooms, public and back of the house areas (excluding kitchen areas) exceed company standards and are meticulously cleaned. Your professionalism and passion for service will help ensure staff are trained and equipped to consistently deliver outstanding room product and personalized service.
Salary Range: $73,000-$77,000
What you will be doing: Assist in the administration and management of the Housekeeping operationEnsure the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance and safety are achieved in the department and throughout the hotelEnsure the highest levels of guest service through the application of all Rooms Division policies and proceduresConduct regular inspections of VIP arrivals, guestrooms, public areas and heart of the house areas (excluding the kitchen)Lead and train the housekeeping staff to ensure the standards of Fairmont are well executedLead and coach the housekeeping staff providing guidance, feedback, and support for performance consistency and adherence to protocolsAssist in scheduling: department orientation, training and last minute revisionsParticipate in the interview selection for new housekeeping staffAddress guest feedback and concerns related to housekeeping promptly and take appropriate actions to resolve issuesAssist in maximizing hotel profitability by properly managing expenses, labour and other material resources with regular inventories, audits and analysis of lossesInvolvement in special projects associated within the housekeeping scope of responsibilitiesEnsure lost and found procedures are followed through accurately and consistentlyMaintain a close working relationship with the Engineering and Front Office departmentsIn the absence of the Senior Housekeeping Leaders, act as liaison of all external contractors auditing their services regularly and ensuring their standards meet the Fairmont standardsOccasionally assist the Laundry Department with supervision and support, both physically and administrativelyMaintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guestsYour experience and skills include: High School diploma or equivalent or vocational trainingTwo years of Hospitality experience in the Rooms DivisionPrevious experience in Housekeeping is an assetService focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience requiredMust possess computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookKnowledge of Property Manager (Opera) is preferredProven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholdersCommunicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skillsAbility to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performanceMust be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented in a fast paced, high volume environment.Additional Information All Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA).
