Our administration team is primarily based at Royal North Shore Hospital campus. At times you may be required to travel to our other sites at Mona Vale Community Health Centre and Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.What you'll be doing Supporting our HITH team delivering high quality care. Undertaking the administration aspect of patient flow, admitting, discharging patients, and maintaining the HITH admission database. Answering phones and directing calls to the wider HITH team. First point of contact for patients in HITH clinic waiting area. Managing competing priorities and demands for a busy service. As well as other clerical office duties. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them. Understanding of Medical Terminology, or willingness to undertake training. Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels. Demonstrated experience in Microsoft platforms eg; word processing, excel and sound knowledge of Cerner Health platform eg: eMR, scheduling Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to triage client telephone calls to the appropriate team member. Current NSW Drivers Licence.
