Homelands Program Manager - Relocate to WadeyeThe West Daly Regional Council covers 14,000 square kilometres and is located about 300 to 420 kilometres south-west of Darwin. The area is mainly rural, with three Indigenous communities at Peppimenarti, Nganmarriyanga and Wadeye which are managed by West Daly Regional Council (Council).Position Summary:The Homelands Program Manager is the program lead responsible for the management and delivery of Housing & Essential Municipal Services (HEMS), Housing Maintenance Services and Capital works as part of the Homelands Program.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Manage and oversee the delivery of the Housing & Essential Municipal Services (HEMS) Program.Manage Homelands contract and stakeholder liaison requirements with support from the Grants Coordinator.Manage Homelands grants, project reporting and acquittals with support from the Grants Coordinator.Set the work schedule and provide overall direction for the Homelands Program Coordinator.Develop future Capital Grant funding priorities and assist with the development of Capital Grant applications with the Grants Coordinator.Develop and/or oversee yearly Service Delivery plans (SDP) in collaboration with Homeland residents that ensure that minimum standards of service delivery are achieved for the HEMS program.Ensure up to date and accurate Homelands Maintenance Logs that record all work completed funded on homelands.Ensure up to date and accurate Infrastructure and Equipment Register (IER) that records all infrastructure and equipment changes on funded Homelands.Work as part of a team to ensure a collaborative approach is taken to achieve positive outcomes.Other duties commensurate with skills and experience as directed by the Manager.Qualifications:Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and extensive demonstrated experience.Well-developed knowledge of the preparation of procurement documentation relating to contracts, assessment and recommendation of tenders based on the value for money principle.Project supervision skills to project manage ongoing projects from development to completion.High level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to multitask.High level of adaptability and flexibility, including the ability to manage pressure, change, and meet deadlines in an environment focused on effective service delivery.Previous experience working in remote locations.Experience in general finance principles and practices including budget and financial acquittals.Current Northern Territory Driver's Licence.National Criminal History Check clearance.Current Working with Children/Ochre Card.What's on Offer:Generous base salary of $120,000 per annum;A generous relocation package up to $5000;6 weeks' Annual Leave accrued per year;1 additional public holiday for NAIDOC day dedicated to Council staff;Heavily subsidised accommodation from $35.00 to $110.00 per fortnight (rent varies based on type of facility) plus utilities;Work Uniforms;Flexible working arrangements subject to CEO's Approval;Fast growing career opportunities that make a real difference to the Northern Territory's communities;And much more!We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander to apply for this role.WDRC is committed to providing quality services and fostering a prosperous and sustainable future for the region.
