About this role The Home Care Worker is responsible for providing home care clients with assistance, support, and encouragement of independence to reside in their chosen community. We are looking for committed and enthusiastic, qualified home care workers who have their competency certificate in 'Assist Clients with Medication' to become part of our Greater Brisbane Home Care team.
This role is a casual position. The focus area for this role is based around the Western Suburbs, Logan, and Bay Side, with the ability to venture into other suburbs surrounding.
In this varied role you will:
Provide personal care assistance to clients; Help clients with cleaning, shopping, meal preparation, and other light housework; Assist with clients' medication; Provide general domestic assistance, including the preparation and cooking of in-home meals; Provide social support to clients by assisting with transport, social outings, shopping, etc. What you can bring to the team This position is perfectly suited for individuals who are compassionate, understanding, and looking for a profession that creates a positive impact for our ageing generation. To be suitable for this position, ideally you have:
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent; Completion of the following units of competency: HLTHPS006 – Assist clients with medication, HLTAAP001 - Recognise healthy body systems, CHCCCS031 – Provide individualised support; Current driver's licence; A comprehensively insured vehicle that is suitable and available to be used for work purposes; Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates; Possess or willing to obtain a current National Police Certificate; Possess or willing to obtain a current Influenza Vaccination.
