An exciting opportunity has become available in our Cairns Workshop for aLead Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.  This fantastic opportunity is a full-time permanent role, ideal for someone looking to make the role their own. Our workshops are the core of our network, playing a critical role in ensuring our vehicles operate safely across Australia.
Responsibilities:  Independently manage daily workshop operations while ensuring seamless functionality. Build relationships with our Drivers and work together as part of a greater team. Implement and enforce quality control measures to uphold high standards of workmanship. Exhibit ownership, accountability, and integrity in all endeavors, while offering clear guidance for progress. Recognition programs where you are rewarded for your contribution to the business  Qualifications Hold a valid qualification for the repair and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles (Certificate III in HV Mechanical Technology) Proof of experience  within the Heavy Diesel repair industry. Proven leadership experience. Ability to work autonomously. Excellent time management skills, ability to plan your workload & required parts. Dedicate commitment to Safety & Quality Assurance Policies. Joining a team with a collaborative culture, you would be working on a fleet size of 1000+ units. The role involves repairing new trucks, including Kenworth, Mack, Volvo, Isuzu, and UD, to complete routine servicing, diagnosing and maintenance. With new equipment being added to our fleet and growth within the business the opportunity offers long term job security.
