An opportunity has arisen for a HD Plant Mechanic (Diesel, Hydraulics, mechanical fitting) to join our Operations Team at our Red Hill Waste Management Facility. This position will cover services, break downs and repairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high level of mechanical expertise undertaking mechanical duties to keep the site's various sized plant and equipment in top running shape. You will be working from a brand new purpose built mechanical workshop.
You will be responsible for: Undertaking the servicing and repairs to all Red Hill Waste Management Facility mechanical plant and equipment, light vehicles, trucks, excavators, loaders, landfill plant, pumps and generators or any other site equipment/plant items not mentioned.Servicing, maintenance and repair of hydraulic equipment.Servicing and maintaining small plant including petrol and diesel powered pumps and generators.Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records.Order parts and maintain workshop stock at appropriate levels.Maintain an accurate and up-to-date tyre register.Carry out a quarterly workshop consumables and asset reconciliation.
