This critical role involves managing a diverse workforce, coordinating with various service providers, and ensuring the seamless delivery of emergency and elective surgical, procedural, interventional, and specialist imaging services. You will be instrumental in optimising operational models, improving processes, and maintaining the functionality of the Operating Room Management Information System (ORMIS).
As Theatre Operations Manager, you will drive efficiency, safety, and performance by establishing and monitoring key performance indicators, analysing data, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Your strategic leadership will support the goals of the Critical Care and Perioperative program, ensuring world-class service delivery and patient care. About You We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to excel as Theatre Operations Manager. Your leadership, clinical expertise, and ability to foster collaboration will be key to driving the success of our procedural spaces. To thrive in this role, you will bring:
Qualifications: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding or eligible for a current practising certificate. Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills, with the ability to motivate teams, resolve complex challenges, and effectively balance diverse stakeholder needs. Experience: At least 3 years post-registration nursing/midwifery experience, with proven success in managing complex health services, driving business change, and efficiently managing resources. Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and contemporary healthcare issues, with expertise in Australian National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
