are currently seeking applicants for a Health & Safety Officer based at Kestrel Coal Mine.This position requires you to commute to site daily and will only suit locals from Emerald, Capella and surrounds.
We will not be accepting FIFO or DIDO applicants.About the role:Located at Kestrel Coal Mine.Full time 38hr week.Monday to Friday, Dayshift only.Weekly Pay, Access to Employee Assistance Program.This role will require you to commute daily back to your residence.
No accommodation or meals will be provided.Key Responsibilities:Role-modelling safe work practices and positive safety leadership to others.
Assist in creating a positive safety culture across all teams, promoting safe work methods and practices.Conducting regular site inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards and assess the effectiveness of safety measures in place.
Support frontline teams in hazard identification, risk assessment, and the implementation of appropriate control measures.Provide advice on the application of Health and Safety processes, supporting compliance with safety management systems, legislative requirements, and codes of practice.Assist in incident investigations and the development of preventative strategies.Build and maintain strong professional relationships with personnel and stakeholders.Successful candidates must hold, or be willing to obtain:Experience in a similar role in a mining environment.Standard 11 Surface.Coal Board Medical.Drug & Alcohol test.Drivers Licence.Ensure safe work operation and have a commitment to Safety.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a Health and Safety Officer?
