Job Description
We are looking for an Experienced Head Nurse who has strong communication and team building skills and previous experience leading and motivating a high functioning nursing team.
Greencross Southport is a modern, community focused practice located within a busy shopping centre. We pride ourselves on providing gold standards of care and our trained nurses are valued as an integral part of the team.
We relocated a few years ago into a purpose built three consult room clinic. We boast a large treatment area, separate dog and cat wards, theatre and imaging rooms, and all the monitoring toys a nurse could dream of.
Our team loves our location, with multiple eateries and shops right outside our front door!
The responsibilities of this position will include:

Full-time role managing a team of Vet Nurses and supporting busy Vets
Guiding and developing the Nurse team, building a positive team culture
Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care
Taking initiative to enhance clinic operations and efficiency
Collaborating with the veterinary team to ensure high standards of patient care
Handling client enquiries professionally in person, by email and over the phone
Managing stock inventory to enable high quality of patient care
Organizing maintenance and repairs of equipment in conjunction with the practice manager

Our ideal candidate:

Holds a Cert IV qualification in Veterinary Nursing with a minimum of 2+ years of experience
Experience coaching and mentoring Vet Nurses
Possesses strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
A calm and friendly presence
Great communication and customer service skills
Flexible and adaptable within a team environment
Knowledge of RX Works ideal but not essential
