About the role:
Saltwater Busselton is a multi-use arts and cultural venue, currently under construction in the heart of Busselton. The venue includes a 640-seat theatre, A-class art gallery, and a 400-capacity convention centre. We are seeking a dynamic and suitably experienced person to lead our technical team and ensure the flawless execution of events in this brand new state-of-the-art venue.
The Head of Technical Services will encourage and support a culture of safety first, continuous improvement, and customer service excellence within the Technical Services team. They will set up all back-of-house procedures and practices for the new venue and actively develop the skills and capabilities of staff, driving event efficiency and maintaining cost competitiveness for hirers.

The person:
The successful applicant will align with our values and ideally have the following competencies:
A tertiary qualification in Theatre Technical Services or a related field (or demonstrated equivalent competency). Demonstrated experience managing a team of technical staff. Demonstrated strong understanding of, and experience with Work Health and Safety procedures and reporting within the live events industry. Proficiency in computer systems, network maintenance, and a range of computing skills, including the use of AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. A positive attitude and flexible approach to tasks. Highly organised with an excellent eye for detail. The successful applicant will be required to provide a National Police Clearance no more than six months old and a Construction White card.
