We have a strong tradition of pro bono legal work and proudly advocate for key social issues, including marriage equality, reconciliation with Indigenous Australians, and the promotion of diversity and inclusion within the legal profession.About the People TeamWith a presence in each of our three offices, our friendly, welcoming and high performing People Team is made up of generalists and specialists, including our HR Managers, our Capability + Development team, our Talent Acquisition team and our HR Support team.About the roleReporting to the Chief People Officer, based in Barangaroo, this is a unique opportunity to shape the future of talent acquisition and HR support at G+T. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to design, implement and manage our talent acquisition strategy while also overseeing HR support functions.More specifically, you will:
Lead and mentor the Talent Acquisition and People Support teams, driving a culture of excellence in recruitment and HR support.Oversee talent acquisition across early talent (clerkships + cadets) and experienced hires (both lawyers + operations professionals).Partner with the Diversity & Inclusion team to attract and retain a diverse workforce.Manage vendor relationships and oversee the recruitment and HR support budgets.Use data analytics and emerging technologies to enhance recruitment and HR operations.Ensure compliance with employment laws, developing risk mitigation strategies for HR policies and procedures.Whilst the role is ideally full time, we are open to 4 days per week or a 9-day fortnight for the right individual. We offer our people flexibility to suit their circumstances which sees most of our people in the office at least 3 days of their working week.About youTo succeed in this role, you will be an experienced and dynamic HR leader with a strong background in talent acquisition, HR operations, and team management. You thrive in building relationships, driving improvements, and using data to enhance processes. Specifically, you will bring:
Minimum 15 years' experience in and knowledge of talent acquisition and HR management, ideally within professional services.Proven leadership skills, with the ability to develop and manage high-performing teams.Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building at all levels.Expertise in data analysis and emerging technologies, with advanced Excel skills.Project management capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.Exceptional communication skills and a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.Gilbert + Tobin will offer you a friendly, flexible and professional working environment.
