The CompanyGlobe 24-7, in partnership with our key client, a Tier 1 precious metals producer, are working together to source an experienced and qualified Head of Security for a large APAC operation; on an expat FIFO basis.The RoleThe Head of Security will manage all risks associated with a large mining operation and lead a large team of security professionals. The Head of Security will also play a critical role in community engagement and interface extensively with the local military and police forces.The ResponsibilitiesEnd to end security management for a large, world-class, precious metals operation.Leadership of a large security team.Interface with local defence forces; military and police.Community engagement with local leaders.The RequirementsIdeally, tertiary qualified. We are particularly interested to hear from ex-police security professionals and certainly those who have held strategic police positions. A subsequent understanding of how police tend to operate, particularly in the APAC region and in countries immediate to Australia. We are seeking a true 'diplomat' with demonstrable experience of navigating/defusing confrontational situations; a strong negotiator/strategic thinker. Prior experience of leading security, ideally in a mining context, but will also consider other heavy industry. We are seeking a strong, commanding leader with demonstrable experience and a 'presence'. Prior developing nations experience is highly sought; experienced in working volatile world regions.The RewardsThe position offers a competitive remuneration package including a generous base salary, a large uplift for a rotational, regional role, short term incentive, and long term incentive.
