The Company Our client is a growing and successful apparel retailer with over 100 retail stores and a strong Ecommerce presence, both in Australia and New Zealand. Well-known for their quality products at affordable price points, they are continually growing and expanding their business.
Position Description The Head of Planning will be responsible for managing the entire merchandise planning function of the business end to end, delivering a dynamic strategy to optimise inventory, increase sales and profit as well as grow market share. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be a strong collaborator with stakeholders across the business that is commercially minded and can strategically look at how to manage inventory in both Australia and New Zealand, whilst managing a small team.
Key Responsibilities Create and implement seasonal merchandise plans for 100+ stores, across apparel, footwear and accessories Analyse sales trends, historical data and market insights to make informed recommendations to the business Work with the Heads of Retail and Marketing to effectively manage the seasonal promotional calendar Oversee all stock allocations and consolidations Develop and evolve the merchandise planning strategy and management of inventory/stock Monitor and adjust sales forecasts based on market dynamics Manage the yearly budgeting process in conjunction with their Finance team Partner with their Head of Product to maximise all sales opportunities Work cross functionally with Heads of Retail, Production and Product as well as shared services, warehousing and logistics, to optimise inventory at all levels Partner with their Head of Operations to drive initiatives such as Ship from store, Click N collect Oversee store and warehouse stocktakes Drive margin growth through agile and dynamic management of markdowns Partner with their production team to effectively manage core programmes and seasonal capacities Coach, manage and lead the Planning team To be successful within this role, you will have: 3-5+ years' experience in Head of Planning/Planning Manager role, ideally within a high volume fashion retail environment Excellent leadership and coaching abilities Strong ability to interpret data, analytics and retail sales trends Strategic mindset with the ability to influence and guide Strong stakeholder engagement skills Commercial acumen to drive business performance Benefits and Culture Competitive salary and bonus structure Generous employee discount A collaborative and high performing team environment Career opportunities with ability to influence and grow How to Apply If this is of interest, apply now via the link.
