About the Role
This Head of Organisational Development (OD) focuses on improving and optimising ANSTO's effectiveness through strategic improvements to people, systems and processes. Reporting into the Director People, Strategy & Performance (CPO), the role leads a small team delivering proactive OD initiatives aligned to ANSTO's strategic objectives. The Head of OD will provide thought leadership on people, culture and organisation dynamics, working closely with the People, Performance & Capability team, WHS, the Executive Team and ANSTO's leaders. This is a key role to help build the future of ANSTO.
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute OD strategies aligned with the ANSTO People & Culture strategy to drive organisational growth and effectiveness. Lead cultural transformation initiatives, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and continuously improving work environment. Collaborate with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams, ensuring OD initiatives are aligned, innovative, and support continuous improvement. Develop and implement ANSTO's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging strategy whilst supporting and guiding established and new staff networks. Facilitate the employee engagement and experience program, including surveys and assessments, providing insights and targeted interventions and governance for the organisation wide action plans. Partner with key organisation stakeholders to ensure consistent and timely roll-out of OD initiatives, including effective communication and change management. Lead proactive strategies to ensure ANSTO has an effective psychosocial risk management process that is both people centric and addresses legislative compliance. Develop and implement frameworks, policies, processes and practices in relation to ANSTO's OD related matters. About You
You will have experience in shifting the dial on internal capability, leadership development, employee experience and diversity and inclusion. You are a strategic and creative thinker with excellent planning, organisational, and project management skills to drive innovative solutions to complex challenges.
A strong communicator, you have the ability to build collaborative, effective and authentic relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, internally and externally to ANSTO. Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with human resource teams.
Previous leadership roles in OD within complex organisations, with experience engaging with diverse workforces and implementing value-add OD initiatives is a must, in addition to tertiary qualifications in organisational development, psychology or Human Resources.
