This is a hands-on role where you'll not only help scale our operations but also play a key role in our growth strategy.
Your Story with Us This role is ideal for a strategic yet hands-on Head of Operations who thrives on building robust operational frameworks while guiding and mentoring teams.
You'll excel if you enjoy shaping company strategy, streamlining processes, and enabling departments to leverage data for smarter decision-making.
Over the first 6-12 months, you will:
Lead Strategic Planning and Alignment Across the Organisation: Partner with our CEO and COO to define and refine the company's strategic vision.Guide teams on effective strategy formulation and implementation, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.Design and own the planning cadence, including monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles.Implement OKR frameworks to drive goal-setting and performance measurement across all teams.Drive Operational Excellence and Project Execution: Own the day-to-day operations of key initiatives, ensuring all projects are on track and delivering expected results.Design and improve operational processes that enable efficient execution of strategic initiatives.Provide oversight on cross-functional projects, ensuring they meet business goals and are executed with precision.Act as a central point of contact for project-related decisions, removing roadblocks and ensuring smooth delivery.Elevate Analytics and Data-Driven Decision Making: Lead the commercial team's data strategy, ensuring analytics are leveraged to inform strategic decision-making.Develop and implement data frameworks to track key metrics, providing insights that shape business strategy.Upskill the broader organisation on using analytics for decision making, making data literacy a core competency.Build dashboards and reporting structures that give clear visibility into performance across departments.Upskill and Mentor the Organisation in Strategic and Operational Best Practices: Coach and mentor LT and HODs on effective strategy development and project execution.Share learnings from successful and failed projects, creating a culture of continuous improvement and agility.Implement training programs that enhance strategic and operational capabilities across the organisation.Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability in all planning and execution activities.Own Special Projects You'll be the key owner of our highest priority strategic initiatives as we look to build for the futureTaking these projects from 0 to 1 while dealing with high levels of ambiguity and unknownsWork closely with the LT to build our strategic approachDeliver an MVP through cross-functional collaboration, balancing speed and impact as you look to drive the business forwardOngoing: Maintain alignment between LT and HODs, driving ongoing communication and coordination around strategic priorities.Continuously refine and improve our operational processes and frameworks based on feedback and business needs.Support the development and execution of new company-wide initiatives as we scale.Monitor and report on project progress, identifying opportunities for optimisation and improvement.Serve as a trusted advisor on all things operations and strategy, ensuring that our teams are equipped to succeed.Own the implementation of MBRs and OKR reviews to ensure continuous alignment and execution of the company's goals.Act as a cultural champion, reinforcing our commitment to data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.Why Join Safewill?
