About the Role Our client is currently recruiting for a Head of Finance to join their close-knit and connected team in Inner-City London. They are looking for a qualified accountant with experience from a creative background. You will be responsible for managing a team of finance professionals and reporting directly to upper management, collaborating with them to achieve the agency's financial goals. Your responsibilities will include, Prepare monthly financial and management accounts for monthly reporting to the board and upper management. Manage a team of two, as well as training, mentoring, and reviewing their work. Management of company bank accounts. Prepare cash flow and P&L forecasting and reporting. Assist and provide any necessary direction or documentation during the annual company audit. Lead the team in completing month-end reconciliations and reporting. Supply financial data for operational functions such as PI renewals, ISO audits, and R&D claims within the practice. Take the lead in financial project reporting. Monthly analysis of actuals against budgets, forecasts, and preparation of financial commentary for review and discussion by upper management. Manage external relationships with accountants, auditors, and relevant financial bodies. HMRC reporting and ensuring compliance. Collaborate with internal departments to run payroll. Ideal Candidate ACCA, ACA qualified Experience with Statutory Accounting and Audit Previous experience at a similar level within a creative field. Preferably Architecture. Experience presenting financial information to the Board and upper management Strong interpersonal skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with various accounting softwares including, Excel and XERO.
