The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the Humanities curriculum areas from Years 6-12, including teaching, assessment and staff development. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate the next generation of thinkers and leaders in a supportive and collaborative environment. This is a full-time role to commence from Term 1, 2025. Key Responsibilities Build strong, professional relationships with students, parents and colleagues. Oversee all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment within the Humanities from Years 6-12. Develop and mentor teaching staff within the faculty. Contribute to the College's efforts to continuously improve teaching and learning practices across our sub-schools. Foster a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning. Manage the faculty's resources, including budgeting and monitoring expenditure. Contribute to our co-curricular program and to the broader school community. What you will need to possess A passion for working with children. A demonstrated ability to create and maintain positive, professional relationships with students, parents and colleagues. The ability to manage and develop others. Experience in establishing a safe, supportive and nurturing learning environment that extends beyond the classroom. A commitment to the pastoral care and wellbeing of each student. The ability to teach Economics (Years 11 and 12) as well as other Senior Humanities subjects. A strong commitment to the holistic nature of education at an independent school. The ability to be registered as a teacher in Queensland.
