This forward-thinking company, comprised of industry leaders with a proven track record in large-scale renewable energy projects, is seeking a talented Head of Engineering to join their expanding team.
We are seeking a highly experienced engineer to lead our clients engineering team in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in utility scale energy storage systems, solar PV, and related technologies, coupled with extensive experience in project development, engineering design, construction, and operations of large-scale BESS and utility-scale solar projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the engineering team, providing technical guidance and expertise in renewable energy projects. Drive innovation and technological advancements in energy storage systems and solar PV technologies. Manage all aspects of project development, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and sustainable renewable energy solutions. Conduct energy modeling simulations and studies to optimize project performance and feasibility. Maintain a thorough understanding of Australian renewable energy regulations and policies, ensuring compliance and driving strategic initiatives. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met. Foster a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship within the engineering team and across the organization. Travel to project sites and meet with stakeholders as necessary to oversee project progress and address technical challenges.
Skills And Experience
Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field. Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on energy storage projects and utility-scale solar. Strong technical background in energy storage systems, solar PV, and related technologies. Proficiency in project development, engineering design, construction, and operational aspects of large-scale BESS and other renewable energy projects. Experience in energy modeling simulation and studies is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive technology innovation. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges. Solid understanding of Australian renewable energy regulations and policies. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
