About the Role
Base Location: Perth, Glasgow, Aberdeen or Inverness
Salary: £74,600 - £112,000 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
The Head of Controls, Assurance and Performance will be responsible for defining, establishing, and managing the services and oversight functions for the circa £20bn portfolio of onshore Transmission projects.
Reporting into the Director of Capital Development and Delivery you'll be accountable for Governance, Programme Planning, Portfolio Planning, Management Reporting, Performance, Assurance, Project Controls, Workforce Planning, Document Management and Cost Control.
Key responsibilities will include:

Management and co-ordination of project reporting functions, project change process and system and monthly reporting for the Directorate.
Establishing and maintaining technical standards to support quality planning and scheduling and ongoing capability advancement and professional development of departments, teams and individuals.
Managing document control functions across project lifecycle from gate 0 to 5, ensuring that compliance is met according to contract and specifications and that document management systems are aligned to BIM requirements and staff are suitably trained.
Management of the overall resource demand and forecast data for the Directorate, tracking and forecasting project resource requirements.
Development of Risk Management strategy at portfolio, programme and project level and overseeing the design and delivery of an effective risk management process and ensuring reporting and risk requirements/standards are met.

What do I need?
To be considered for this role, you should have:

Experience of delivering large-scale projects and leading a Project Services Function through delivery in a complex environment, ideally within a Utilities organisation.
Qualified to practitioner level (Prince II, PMP or equivalent) with a background of programme management or significant equivalent practical experience.
Demonstrable experience and knowledge of key project processes, including status reporting, budgeting and estimating, planning, dependency management, risk and issue management, quality gates, risk management and change management.
Experience of leading, managing and developing an inclusive and engaged multi-disciplinary team.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills to support you in developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
