We are working to improve energy efficiency, offset emissions, reduce emissions intensity and explore options for lower-carbon energy.About the Role:Reporting to the Vice President Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), the Head of Australia Business is accountable for enabling effective risk (strategic, material and emerging) management, control effectiveness assurance and reporting for the Australia Business, in accordance with global regulatory and corporate governance requirements. You are also responsible for providing oversight that ensures the Australia Business operates within the risk appetite set by the executive and Board.This position is based in the Perth office, and you will lead a team that delivers risk, compliance and governance expertise to support and enable the Australia Business.Duties & Responsibilities:Accountable for enabling effective risk (strategic, material & emerging) management and reporting for the Australia Business, in accordance with regulatory and corporate governance requirements.Provide oversight that ensures the Australia Business operates within the risk appetite set by the executive and Board.Deliver strategic risk insights including leading and lagging risk health indicators, cumulative risk views and trends.Build organisation risk maturity through training, coaching and development of leaders and employees.Accountable for delivering a robust and fit-for-purpose regulatory compliance framework across the Australia Business.Develop and maintain an internal and external stakeholder network to anticipate and address impact of regulatory changes on compliance activities.Accountable for oversight of application of the Woodside Management System in the Australia Business.Accountable for delivering a business assurance regime that aligns with the Three Lines Model.Continue to support initiatives aimed at streamlining processes and systems across the business to deliver continuous improvement.Skills & Experience:Tertiary qualifications: Bachelor/Masters degree with appropriate specialisation qualificationsOil and gas experience is preferred but secondary to dynamic and influential leadership ability.Understanding of complex governance frameworks and systems.Expertise in managing risk systems and processes for a large corporation.Proven understanding of strategic risks and how businesses can prepare for these.Exemplary written and verbal communication.Confidence to work with full autonomy in managing internal and external stakeholders.Understanding of what constitutes a high-performing team.If you think you can do this job but don't meet all the criteria, that's OK!
