Head Chef

We are looking for a creative, passionate, and enthusiastic head chef to join our cafe. The ideal candidate should have a passion for preparing and cooking quality wholefood and fresh food, along with experience as a chef, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Experience working in a high-volume kitchen with an understanding of baking, modern Australian cafe offerings, and wholefoods is essential. The right candidate will also need to demonstrate skills in running catering for the business.

Job Description: Planning and designing menus for the cafe and catering. Calculating costs, ordering, and liaising with suppliers. Directing kitchen operations and managing kitchen staff. Overseeing the food preparation, cooking, and cleaning processes. Delegating tasks and resolving issues as they arise. Ensuring compliance with hygiene and health and safety regulations. Liaising with the owner/general manager to ensure operations run smoothly. Ensuring all ingredients are fresh and meet quality standards. Coordinating weekly catering orders. Meeting set KPIs for wages and COGS. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
