What you'll be doing:
The Medical Radiation Scientist provides a quality, sustainable diagnostic imaging service by actively participating in the multidisciplinary delivery of person-focused services to the patients, clients and clinicians of Southern NSW LHD.
Selection Criteria:
Current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), EPA licence to use radiation (IA1) and unrestricted driver's licence with the ability to maintain. High-level written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact with a wide range of people. Ability to provide a wide range of imaging services, including CT, with minimal supervision. Ability to work within a team, share the allocation of workloads according to skills and competencies, and participate in the department roster including on-call as required. Ability to interpret request information, select the most appropriate protocol and adapt imaging if necessary. Evidence of ongoing involvement in continued professional development. Working knowledge of legislation, regulations, policies and procedures affecting medical imaging. Experience working in a range of clinical settings.
