About the role We are looking for a Head Chef with the following attributes:
Proven experience in a similar role, showcasing your ability to lead a successful kitchen team. Creative flair and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences. Strong leadership and communication skills, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining composure under pressure. Position: Head Chef
Location of work: 55 Sandown Road, Norwood, Tasmania 7250
Employment Type: Permanent, Full time
Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 plus Superannuation
Key Responsibilities: As the Head Chef at Apricus, you will be instrumental in leading our kitchen team to new heights. Your primary tasks will include:
Attend and actively participate in weekly management meetings. Provide regular updates to the management team on kitchen operations. Develop and execute rosters in accordance with labor KPIs and predicted sales. Revise menu costings, recipes, stock items, and par levels on Restoke. Complete assigned tasks efficiently. Develop and enforce comprehensive kitchen policies and procedures, covering checklists, preps, cleaning, recipes/plating, and stock storage. Oversee the development and execution of the restaurant's menu, ensuring creativity, variety, and alignment with our culinary concept. Lead and inspire the kitchen team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment. Maintain the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and taste. Manage inventory, control costs, and optimise kitchen operations. Collaborate with the management team to achieve business goals and maintain high customer satisfaction. Implement and maintain hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen. Skills required: At least certificate IV in commercial cookery or higher. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required. Experience in menu planning and costing is essential. Key attributes: Communication Leadership Interpersonal skills. Capable of delegating multiple tasks. Excellent record of kitchen management. Excellent time management skills. Perfection in sanitation and quality control. Knowledge of all safety standards. Interested in the role?
