Top cafe needs a change of leadership in the kitchen
We have the goal of becoming Australia's best cafe, known for our use of local produce, native ingredients, our use of fire and smoke as ingredients, our commitment to sustainability and our love of seasonal menus!
We are currently hiring a Head chef to help us forge a path toward that goal, and lead our kitchen!
The job-
5 days a week, some nights required, we love dinner themed events
Must be available weekends-its our busiest time!
To be considered for this role you MUST have at least 5 years experience as a chef and a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role. You must also want to learn and be able take criticism positively to build yourself as a chef and grow. As the owner, im constantly looking inward to see how i can improve myself to become a better leader.
Your job will include (not limited too)
Oversee the kitchen and run the day to day. Reporting to the owner weekly Hitting kpis to ensure the business remains profitable Ordering and maintaining stock levels while updating par levels. Developing staff members and nurturing their learning process. Designing specials and menus using the company guidlines. General prep and the overseeing of prep done by the junior chefs while following all recipes to the letter. Who are we?
