With a newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and reinvigorated board and executive leadership team, there is a growing sense of collaboration and engagement in the organisation. The EDPC will be a critical role to help drive the realisation of the CALHN strategic ambitions through a revived culture and increased workforce capability.CALHN is South Australia's largest health network employing more than 15,000 staff. Services are delivered through South Australia's major quaternary hospital the Royal Adelaide (RAH), The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH), the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, and the Repat Health Precinct. The Role The EDPC is responsible to the Chief Executive Officer for the strategic direction and reform of human resource operations, workforce optimisation and worker health and safety management across CALHN to enable an environment that attracts and fosters world class talent. A key focus of the role is to work alongside the Chief Executive Officer to drive the development of the required culture and workforce capability to meet the strategic priorities, while ensuring the delivery of contemporary and effective HR policy, systems and services. The EDPC enables and supports the Chief Executive Officer and CALHN through sound knowledge and understanding of the political, social, economic, and environmental context in which it operates.
