We are seeking a skilled Business Improvement Specialist to join our clients' Procurement Team for Sustaining Capital.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Improvement Specialist to take a leading role in enhancing procurement operations across the division.
The successful candidate will have the chance to leverage their expertise to drive impactful, lasting changes that create significant value for our clients' Procurement team.
Working Monday to Friday in our client's Perth Office within a dedicated and dynamic team, the Business Improvement Specialist will play a key role in collaborating with the wider Sustaining Capital West teams to implement procurement best practices, streamline workflows, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and simplification.
The ideal candidate will possess a curious and forward-thinking mindset with demonstrated expertise in implementing business improvement initiatives.
They will be expected to work autonomously while also collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges that will require energy, tenacity, and resilience to drive effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities: Lead Business Improvement Initiatives: Drive and champion a range of business improvement projects within the procurement function, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and strategic goals.
Conduct In-Depth Process Analysis: Assess current procurement workflows, systems, and methodologies, identifying areas for enhancement to streamline processes, reduce administrative burden, and improve overall efficiency.
Develop and Implement Improvement Strategies: Formulate targeted strategies to streamline procurement activities, improve operational effectiveness, and foster best practices that add tangible value to the Sustaining Capital West division.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration and alignment of improvement initiatives with broader divisional goals.
Promote a Culture of Continuous Improvement and Simplification: Champion a culture of continuous improvement and simplification within Sustaining Capital West, fostering innovation and promoting the adoption of streamlined processes, new ideas, and best practices across the procurement function.
Monitor and Report Project Progress: Track and report on the status of improvement projects, ensuring milestones are met on time and objectives are achieved.
Provide clear updates to leadership and stakeholders on progress, challenges, and outcomes.
Experience and Qualifications: The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in business related fields and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience and will bring:
Proven Business Improvement Experience: Demonstrated success in a business improvement role, ideally within procurement, supply chain, or a related operational function, demonstrating the ability to drive meaningful change.
Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Exceptional analytical skills, with a talent for identifying process inefficiencies, proposing effective solutions, and implementing changes that lead to measurable results.
Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a natural ability to influence, engage, and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment and support for improvement initiatives.
Project Management Proficiency: Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities, and navigate a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on delivering value.
Please note while direct experience in procurement or supply chain management would be highly desirable, this is not a requirement for the successful candidate.
