As one of Queensland's earliest nature-based tourist destinations, the Sanctuary is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: to conserve and advance our natural and cultural heritage for future generations. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Full time Guest Services Supervisor to support the wider team and assist in delivering a high quality, safe and memorable guest experience at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary property.
This is a salary-based role working a (core days of Tuesday to Saturday), with public holidays and school holidays required.
The role will assist the Guest Services Manager in delivering the best possible guest experience through visitor services, ticketing, car parking and the cleaning department.
About the Role In our Guest Services Supervisor role, you will report to the Guest Services Manager and to the Head of Operations and assist with daily operations of the park and its facilities.
You will be responsible for front line interaction with all guests, staff, and contractors on site.
You will assist with managing bookings, phone calls, email correspondence, complaints, day to day business operations and in emergency situations.
You will be able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
About You You will ideally have experience in a similar role and can work productively and cooperatively within a team and have the ability to follow direction without supervision and demonstrate initiative to complete tasks.
You must have an energetic and driven approach to the role and be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of guest service and conflict resolution.
Other key skills and attributes we are looking for include:
You will require at least 3 years' experience working in a guest services role (within a similar field or industry preferred but not essential)Strong level of organisational and time management skills essentialEffective verbal and electronic communication skills are essential as well as the confidence and ability to deliver the best outcomesA professional standard of personal presentation is essentialHigh level computer ability with Microsoft Office suite and POS/Reservation based softwareMust be comfortable working in an environment that includes mammals, birds and reptiles & be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditionsManual Driver's licence and/or First Aid qualifications will be highly regarded but not essentialWhat we can offerJust as our charter is to protect, conserve, and celebrate the Environmental, Built and Cultural heritage of our State â we also are committed to ensuring our Team Members are protected, taken care of and of course celebrated!
