We are looking for a dynamic Group Operations Manager with a passion for creating exceptional experiences and an interest in the food and drinks sector to join our team.
About the role Working collaboratively with the Group Event Director and Executive Team to successfully deliver the SpecTAPular portfolio of events nationally, the Group Operations Manager will deliver strategic and tactical objectives as part of the management team, that directly contribute to the growth and success of SpecTAPular Enterprises.
The Group Operations Manager is responsible for financial management, exhibition infrastructure and planning, continuous improvement and quality control and efficiencies in the logistical delivery of the SpecTAPular event portfolio.
About you Tertiary and post graduate qualifications in an appropriate discipline or equivalent formal studies in management will be looked upon favourably.Minimum 10 years relevant skills and experience in the operations of exhibitions, events and festivals.Relevant experience in a senior leadership position with well-developed emotional intelligence, courage, humility, patience along with proven change management, negotiation and influencing skills.Solid hands-on budget management skills including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting.Proven track record in supply chain management and vendor relationship management.A skilled negotiator with experience in vendor procurement processes.Consistently display integrity, authenticity, models behaviour, develops people and builds teams.Superior attention to detail, strong capabilities in terms of prioritising work and meeting deadlines.Action oriented and innovative with the ability to translate broad goals into achievable steps.Ability to forge strong relationships with senior management and key stakeholders.Commercially astute with excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with an acute sense of commercial reality.Display high level judgement and decision-making ability and possess well developed project management skills.Demonstrated superior standards of customer service and delivery.Anticipates and solves problems and takes advantage of opportunities.Demonstrated superior understanding of OH&S legislation and its application to the events industry.Technologically savvy with advanced skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Flexibility and willingness to travel nationally and work irregular hours from time to time when required.THE PERKS Attractive salary package based on your level of experience.Modern new co-working offices in central Melbourne with a view of the Botanic Gardens and Port Phillip Bay and excellent End of Trip facilities.Opportunity for interstate travel.Young and fast-growing business with lots of exciting opportunities to progress.HOW TO APPLY If you think the above sounds right for you and would like to be a part of our team then please apply now.
