Group Financial Accountant

About the CompanyQuinn Allan is partnering with a reputable and industry leading ASX organisation who are seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join their high performing financial reporting team on a full-time permanent basis in a newly created role based in Melbourne CBD. The business has a positive workplace culture and offer hybrid work arrangements to their employees.About the PositionReporting to an impressive and supportive Financial Controller with a dotted line to the GM Finance, this is an excellent development opportunity as you will gain exposure to a wide variety of activities and become an instrumental member of the team from the outset.Key responsibilities include:Take a lead role in driving month end, half-year and year end reporting obligations, including the preparation of financial statements at a group level;Preparation of monthly consolidated financial reports;Provide technical accounting support in adherence with latest accounting standards;Provide relevant analysis and commentary regarding statutory results to support other financial reporting requirements and internal performance management (investor presentations, M&A activities etc);Support and assist in daily and periodic group consolidated cashflow projections including the management of daily cash flow requirements;Build strong working relationships with cross functional teams to ensure consistent high quality accounting and finance practices;Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, including proactive follow up of aged balances and/or reconciling variances;Provide ongoing coaching/mentoring to junior team members.About YouYou will be CA / CPA qualified and ideally possess a minimum of six years experience in a Big 4/Mid-Tier audit chartered environment or have gained strong financial reporting exposure within mid to large listed/private entities. You will be forward-thinking, have a capacity and desire to support peers in the wider team and possess excellent stakeholder management skills.
