If you specialise in financial auditing, you might work for a consulting firm that reviews financial statements to help rail organisations maintain compliance.What is the work environment like?You'll work in an office, usually with a team of finance professionals such as payroll officers and accounts managers. Your day could include preparing balance sheets or financial statements, reviewing cash flow reports, or general record keeping. You may participate in meetings, and act as an advisor to other business areas on finance matters. Your work could also involve auditing, and may require you to visit a certain location or project site to review documents and records. You can find work as an accountant all around Australia. Most jobs are in cities and towns. Some are in remote areas.You can complete a Diploma of Accounting, but most roles require a degree in accounting or commerce.
