Accounts and Payroll Officer – Melbourne, VictoriaAbout the Role:  As the Accounts & Payroll Officer, you will be assisting the Director to review and streamline Xero processes including checking and processing timesheets, payroll, superannuation lodgements, and invoicing. Other duties include creating and managing employee records, timely reconciliation of accounts, preparing business ledger for BAS and Payment Summaries, and ensure compliance with Single Touch reporting requirements to the ATO. This is a part-time role working 3 days per week with the opportunity to become full-time as the company grows. The Accounts & Payroll Officer will also be managing our MyPlace NDIS provider portal in relation to invoice payments.  This position will also be coordinating with the Director and Administration Officer to ensure statutory requirements of industry awards and agreements are adhered to. The successful applicant will need to meet the following criteria: Must be experienced with Xero accounting and payroll cloud-based system Demonstrated experience working in a similar role Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients Proficient in meeting deadlines and effective time management skills Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good technical knowledge of Microsoft Business suite and emails is desirable Takes initiative and the ability to work independently Demonstrated good reliability with a can-do attitude Openness to feedback and continuous professional development Strong work ethic and professionalism You must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 Why work for us?  you will receive industry award wage remuneration you will receive employer-contributed superannuation benefits working in a multi-disciplinary therapy team with like-minded individuals opportunity to transition from part-time to full-time employment as the company grows opportunities for career progression in other business functions we value our staff equally as we do our clients and support them with professional development such as individual supervision and team-based activities Employment is dependent upon the applicant having completed a national police check and the NDIS Worker Screening Check.
