A leader in the Korean rail industry, HRC has succeeded in developing high-speed trains and is now establishing their presence in the Australian market.Currently, the Australian operation of HRC is working on two major projects:The New Intercity Fleet (NIF) Project - a joint venture between HRC, UGL and MEA, this project is delivering a fleet of new intercity trains for operation in the NSW electrified rail network.
The fleet comprises of 55 Long Units and 70 Short Units for the Newcastle, Blue Mountains, South Coast and Central Coast Lines;The Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) - a project commissioning, designing and constructing a new manufacturing facility in Torbanlea Qld and a new maintenance facility in Ormeau Qld.
It includes manufacturing and delivering 65 EMU Train sets (390 cars) by the end of 2031.Combined local and international design teams and suppliers will work together to ensure the delivery of manufacturing requirements and associated documentation to ensure that train sets locally manufactured in Australia meet the design, compliance, manufactuability, reliability, maintainability and safety specifications for the trains operational life for a minimum of at least 35 years.HRC prides itself on hiring people committed to excellence and ensuring state of the art train designs that are focussed on safety, accessibility, reliability and comfort for passengers and operational rail staff that meet all of the latest safety specifications and standards.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Eveleigh Test and Commissioning Team:Assist in the development and testing of rolling stock systems under the guidance of test and commissioning staff.Assist in fleet inspections and modifications of test trains.Participate in testing activities to validate system performance and compliance with specifications.Analysis of train logs.Attend supplier meetings, and stakeholder management.Work with the Engineering Team Lead to understand rolling stock design and engineering design management.Gain exposure to different disciplines of rolling stock engineering.Support engineering problem-solving activities and develop technical solutions.Attend various engineering meetings and activities.Support in engineering documentation preparation, development and management.Learn about rolling stock specifications and performance requirements.Communicate and manage relationships with engineering stakeholders.Kangy Angy Technical Support Team:Gain exposure to log analysis for attributions and technical defect investigations.Assist in the development of ECR/FI FMIs.Participate in on-train engineering investigations for FRACAS.Work with the Technical Support team to understand the Corrective Maintenance Process, including defect identification, investigation, fault finding, verification, and closure.Collaborate with RAMS engineers to understand fleet performance against project deed requirements.Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in the rolling stock sector, proposing innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and safety.Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge, including mid-rotation presentations to key internal stakeholders and providing feedback to improve the Graduate Program.#J-18808-Ljbffr
