PGA GOLF STAFF PROFESSIONAL REQUIRED Gailes Golf Club Inc. ( is seeking to appoint a 'PGA GOLF PROFESSIONAL' to join our golf team. Gailes golf course is located at Wacol, halfway between the Brisbane and Ipswich CBDs.
As part of our continued efforts to improve the golf shop customer service, we require the services of an experienced Golf Professional in a full-time, flexible hours role across 7 days.
As a Staff Golf Professional, you will be responsible for assisting to manage all aspects of the golf shop, ensuring excellent customer service, overseeing inventory, and coordinating with other departments to provide an exceptional experience for our members and guests. You will also play a key role in promoting the game of golf, coaching, and increasing sales. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Golf and the Head Golf Professional to ensure the smooth operation of the golf shop.
Essential: Must be a qualified PGA Professional Knowledge of Golf Management Systems (Micropower preferred) Blue Card qualification (or able to obtain) Responsible service of alcohol certificate (or able to obtain) Current first aid and CPR certificate (or ability to obtain) Able to work in Australia Role: Assist in overseeing daily operations of the golf shop, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Manage and maintain inventory, including ordering, stocking, and merchandising of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories. Ensure accurate sales and cash handling procedures are followed. Organize and promote golf competitions and events, and member activities in collaboration with the Gailes Golf team. Coordinate competitions, timesheets management and bookings, prize distribution, and handicap enquiries in conjunction with the Gailes Golf team. Undertake necessary golf equipment repairs in a timely manner, providing education and training to golf shop staff. Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase golf shop revenue. Train, supervise, and schedule golf shop staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely product deliveries and favorable pricing. Provide up-to-date knowledge of the latest golf products and trends to assist customers with informed purchasing decisions. Collaborate with the General Manager, Golf Course Superintendent, and other key staff to ensure a seamless guest experience. Other duties as required by the General Manager and/or head PGA Professional. Using basic Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel as required. Ensure compliance with club policies, safety regulations, and customer service standards. Coaching individuals and clinics as applicable across a broad range of golf enthusiasts.
